Ashes to Ashes

Wow what a start to the Ashes series, at lunch we were all sat there at work discussing how England maybe could give the Aussies a run for their money this year. Australia had already lost 4 wickets and things were looking good, by mid afternoon the convicts were all out for 190, so all that was needed was for England to go out bat for the rest of the day and hopefully not lose any wickets, while notching up some runs and over the course of the second day set up a really big lead.
Unfortunately Glenn McGrath had other ideas and just carved through the England batting order taking 5 wickets for 21 runs, absolutely amazing figures. By the end of the day England were 92-7, which is a good recovery considering the position they were in earlier, now what we've got to do is hopefully overtake the Aussie's score or at least not end up too far behind and give it a go in the second innings. It's certainly set things up for an interesting first test that's for sure, may the series continue in this vein.

Hey Tricky,

Just thought I'd return the courtesy visit. Nice Blog, will read it regularily. I think I've seen you post on the Forect Fan talk section, if I'm not mistaken.

Man, Forest were bad last year. Will be over for a match in October, hopefully they'll have a good start to the season, they have one season to get out of this mess, otherwise I dread to think.
