The Misery Continues

Any of you out there that follow english football will know that last season for me was pretty depressing, awful football (this at a club renowned for it's passing game) an inabilty to score goals and then ultimately at the end of the season, relegation to the 3rd tier of English football (no former European cup winner has sunk so low).
Our manager has spent the close season clearing out all the players that he didn't think were up to the job and bringing in new faces for our promotion push next season. But unfortunately the pre season has continued where last season left off.
We've had 2 matches so far on our tour of Denamrk and won neither of them, failing to score in both!!!! One was a 0-0 draw and last nights was a 1-0 loss. What amazes me is that we continue to play Gareth bloody Taylor I dunno what the manager see's in him but he must like him cos he's even our Captain for some bizarre reason. The man has no footballing ability whatsoever, he can't head a ball, can't control a ball (both pretty much basic skills which are needed for a front man) and whenever he tries to chest a ball he seems to insist on trying to use his hands "It's called FOOTBALL for a reason you halfwit!!!!!" Anyway it is only pre season and hopefully things will pick up as they start to reach match fitness but things certainly haven't started very well. I suppose I should prepare myself for another season of misery.
